Laughing Man Productions²: October 2010

Hello everyone, this month was not too good for progress.

Aside from having my house broken into, thank God they didn't get my computer, my collage classes and some of the other projects I have been working on pushed any major progress on CI out of the window for this update.

I did manage to do a bit on the Mall map, but it wasn't enough to justify showing it. So I decided to load up an old map yesterday and to a bit of brush up work on it.

It was the City 25 map, I did some texturing and a small bit of editing on it. This map is very early work and much of it is still dev textured:

This is near where you enter the city at. Don't know what is missing from that road texture. Small building on left is a convienance store, the large is an office building. On the right side closest to the camera is the hotel, the farther one is an apartment building. The goal for this map is to simulate a medium sized city that the combine have recently occupied.

This will be a convenience store, the glass on this display case is breakable.

This whole building is office space. This is the Executive suite here.

Due to how busy this month has been and October and likely also November will be for me, I am going to take a break from CI till December. I will likely still be mapping every once in a while but I will not be making updates. Hopefully by that time I will have some more progress on the Mall map and maybe some new SRC/Content to show off.

However, it is becoming more and more apparent to me that I may need to enlist some aid for this if I want to get done before doomsday. If anyone is interested in joining the project as a mapper or modeler shoot me a PM and I will get back to you.
